# A Corporate Training Platform for a Training Team With a Backlog

A corporate training platform, often called a corporate LMS or a corporate learning platform, assigns and tracks staff training; for a small training team, it should also take on writing and upkeep. It speaks to training managers and HR leads at growing companies whose list of requested courses grows faster than their team can write.

## What a corporate training platform does

A corporate training platform is the system a company uses to assign, deliver and track staff training, and for a small training team it also has to help with writing and upkeep. It fits training managers and HR leads whose request list keeps outgrowing their hours. Elvina drafts lessons, quizzes, job aids, translations and avatar video lessons for trainers to approve, available now; scheduled reports to managers are planned, not available today.

## What happens on the free demo

- Book 30 minutes. Pick a time with Elvina's team. The demo is free and runs on Zoom.
- Show the team your goal. Bring one role or one procedure. The team shows how Elvina would handle it, using sample materials.
- Agree on the next step. You leave with a plan for the first step and its price. Nothing reaches your team until you approve it.

## What to look for

Your trainers already know what good training looks like. What they lack is hours. Judge each platform by how much production and upkeep it takes off their plates while they keep the final say.

- Drafts built from your own SOPs, recordings and expert interviews, so trainers edit instead of starting from a blank page.
- A review step in which every draft waits for a named approver before anyone is assigned.
- A link from each lesson to the source and version behind it, so a changed procedure shows which lessons to redo.
- Groups by role and location, with progress and quiz scores for each group.
- Translation for staff who are more at home in another language.
- Export as SCORM, xAPI or MP4 for the LMS, intranet or screens you already run.

## Where most tools stop

Enterprise learning systems are strong at catalogs, enrollment rules, compliance reports and links to HR software. Authoring tools help a skilled designer build polished modules faster. Content libraries cover general skills such as communication or time management. So put the same question to every vendor: who produces courses from your procedures, and who updates them when a procedure changes? For a small training team, that answer decides the backlog. Every new SOP, product or location adds a request, and older courses can drift out of date while the team works on the newest one. BLS counts updating training programs so they stay relevant among the typical duties of training and development managers, next to developing and implementing new ones.

## How Elvina approaches it

Elvina works as extra hands for your trainers, who keep the standard, the priorities and the sign-off. Subject experts add SOPs, recordings and voice interviews to Company Knowledge, each with a named owner. In Creation Studio, Elvina drafts lessons, job aids, quizzes, translations and video lessons with an avatar. Trainers review, edit and approve every draft before it goes out. The hands-on production is done today by our team, working with your trainers on the platform, and Elvina assumes each part as it is confirmed.

- Programs your manager assigns to groups on the Learning Platform, with completions and certification dates (available now).
- Reminders for learners and digests of progress for managers (planned, not available today).
- Scheduled reports for each manager (planned, not available today).
- Export to the systems you already use as SCORM, xAPI or MP4 files (available now).

## When another tool fits better

An enterprise LMS is built to be the one record for a very large workforce, with links to HR systems and detailed compliance reports. Elvina can feed such a system with SCORM packages. Teams whose designers build branching simulations should keep a dedicated authoring tool. For mostly general-skills content, a library subscription is the shorter path. Elvina fits when the courses that matter describe your own operations and your trainers cannot produce them fast enough.

## A worked example

A fictional auto glass company has fourteen shops, a fleet of mobile vans and a training team of two, a manager and a coordinator. Shop managers keep asking for counter, install and insurance claim training, and the list of requested courses grows every month.

- The training manager adds the claim intake SOPs, the vehicle inspection checklist and two recorded install walk-throughs to Company Knowledge.
- Elvina drafts a counter course, an inspection job aid and quizzes, plus Spanish versions for the install crews.
- The coordinator edits two steps, sends the install lessons to the technical lead for review and approves the rest.
- Shop groups get the courses on the Learning Platform, and SCORM copies go into the company LMS that already holds compliance records.
- The trainers spend their shop visits on hands-on practice with the tools.

## Who Elvina is not for, and when another tool fits

### Elvina is not the right choice if

- You need one record for a very large workforce with deep HR links.
- Your designers build branching simulations.
- Most of your content is general skills from a catalog.

### Another kind of tool may fit better

- An enterprise LMS as the record, which Elvina can feed with SCORM packages.
- A dedicated authoring tool, for branching simulations.

## Questions

**Q:** What is a corporate training platform?

It is software a company uses to deliver, assign and track employee training across roles and locations. Some platforms only host courses. Others, Elvina among them, also draft courses from company documents for a person to approve, which matters most when the training team is small.

**Q:** Will Elvina replace our trainers?

No. Your trainers decide what good looks like, which requests come first and what gets approved. Elvina takes on drafting, translation and assignment around those decisions. At present our team handles that work with your trainers, and each part moves to Elvina once it is confirmed.

**Q:** Can we keep our current LMS?

Yes. You can keep it as the system of record and use Elvina for production. Approved courses export as SCORM or xAPI packages and video lessons as MP4 files, all available now. Test each package in your LMS before rollout.

**Q:** Does Elvina handle compliance and certification courses?

Elvina can draft lessons from your own compliance procedures for your reviewers to approve. She does not certify anyone or replace mandatory training from an accredited provider. Elvina tracks completions and certification dates per person; detailed quiz answers and scores are not stored, and reminders before a certification expires are planned, not available today. Keep regulator records and certificates from accredited providers in the system that holds them today.
