# Before a new location breaks even, I train its own crew

ELVINA · A NEW LOCATION'S OWN CREW

A new location pays full rent and wages from day one, plus borrowed staff, overlap shifts and your own hours on the floor. I train each role and set up a station check, so your site manager can send borrowed people home role by role. I don't promise an earlier break-even date: you read the ramp in your own books.

- No promise on the break-even date
- Your books show the ramp
- Your site manager clears each role

## What training touches, and what it doesn't

Rent, prices, the neighborhood and demand decide most of when a location covers its costs, and none of them are mine. What I can work on is how long the new site pays for extra help: borrowed staff, overlap shifts, your own hours and mistakes in the early weeks.

## What a new location pays for while its crew learns

### Borrowed staff

People lent from the first location leave gaps there, so both sites run thin.

### Overlap shifts

Two people paid for one station because nobody at the new site is cleared to run it alone.

### Your own hours

The owner works the floor, and those hours never appear on the new location's books.

## From the first location's routines to a crew that stands alone

### Ready, defined per role

Before opening, we write down the tasks each role must run alone before borrowed staff go home.

### Training from the first site

Your routines, recipes and a walk-through at your busiest location become lessons and a station card for each role. You approve them.

### Tag the ramp hours

You mark training, overlap and borrowed hours in your schedule, apart from normal shifts, and keep your last opening to compare with.

### Cleared role by role

The site manager watches each new hire run the station and records who is cleared. Borrowed people go home as their role is covered.

### Your books, your call

You compare the ramp with your last opening in your own payroll and sales reports.

## A fifth bubble tea shop

You said: "I lend a drink maker and a shift lead to every opening, and they stay for months." I start with the drink station. Example · 4 tea shops, opening a 5th

- 2 weeks out Walk-through of the drink station and closing at your busiest shop
- 10 days out Lessons, a station card with photos and a recipe quiz approved
- Opening week The lent shift lead watches each hire make the core drinks
- Week 3 Drink makers cleared. The lent drink maker goes home
- Week 6 You compare overlap hours with your last opening, in your payroll

## Who does what

### You

Decide what ready means, approve the lessons and read the ramp in your books.

### Your site manager

Watches each station and decides when a borrowed person goes home.

### Your lent staff

Teach the hard parts and watch the first station checks.

### Me

Build the training for each role. Your managers mark who is cleared, so you see which roles still lean on borrowed people.

I don't set prices, sign leases, build schedules or forecast sales. The break-even line comes from your accountant and your books.

## What working with me takes

### You send

The roles at the new location, the people you mean to lend and your routines from the first site.

### You get

Lessons and a station card for each role, a check your site manager runs, and a list of who is cleared.

### Your time

We agree up front how much of your time the interview and approvals take, and what else you and your managers do.

### Who helps

I prepare the materials. My team sets me up, supports your account and runs your demo. A person confirms every meeting and every payment.

Example · new tea shop, week 3
