# Before you open, I train each role and show who is ready

ELVINA · A TEAM READY FOR OPENING DAY

Opening day needs enough people ready in every role, from the register to the closing checklist. I list the opening tasks for each role and build a lesson and a check sheet for each task from your procedures. Your managers record who passed their checks against the number you need. The go or no-go call stays with you.

## What working with me takes

### You send

The opening date, the roles and the procedures the new team needs.

### You get

Training by role before the doors open, and a board your managers fill out to show who is ready and who needs another supervised shift.

### Your time

We agree up front how much of your time the interview and approvals take, and what else you and your managers do.

### Who helps

I prepare the materials. My team sets me up, supports your account and runs your demo. A person confirms every meeting and every payment.

Example · readiness board, front desk, 6 salons

### Front desk: who works alone

## How I map staff readiness before opening day

I list how many people each role needs; the platform shows who finished the lessons, and your managers record who passed the task check. A sent lesson, a finished lesson and a passed check are three different things, and I keep them apart. Your managers record the checks. You decide whether the team is ready to open.

OPM's field guide to training evaluation puts the weight on the job: how well critical behaviors are performed there determines the results, and they should be defined in measurable, observable terms.

## From the opening date to a board you can trust

### Your date and roles

The opening date, the roles the location needs and how many people for each.

### The opening tasks

For each role, the tasks that must work on day one, listed with your opening manager.

### Lessons and check sheets

A short lesson and a supervised check sheet for each task, from your procedures. You approve them.

### Assigned by role

Each new person gets the lessons for their role, with reminders if you want them (planned, not available today).

### Checks on the real task

Your managers watch each person do the task and sign the check. Your manager records it on the checklist I prepare.

### The readiness board

For each role, I list how many people you need; the platform shows who finished the lessons, and your managers' notes show who passed their checks. You make the go or no-go call.

## A second café opening on May 12

You said: "We open the second café on May 12, and we are still hiring." I count back from that date. Example · 1 café, 4 roles

- Apr 7 Opening tasks listed with your manager: 4 roles, 23 tasks
- Apr 14 Lessons and check sheets approved
- Apr 21 Assigned to the first nine hires
- May 1 Reminders to three who have not started, as agreed (planned, not available today)
- May 5 Checks on the real task with your managers
- May 9 You compare the number of people who have been assessed with the number needed for each role and decide how to cover the gaps
- May 12 Opening day

## Four people, one opening day

### You

Set the date, approve the task list and make the go or no-go call.

### Your experienced staff

Show the opening tasks once and mentor the new team.

### Your managers

Watch each person on the real task and sign the check.

### Me

List the tasks and prepare the lessons, the check sheets and the readiness board your managers fill out.

I handle the training plan and the readiness checklist. Your team handles permits, inspections, equipment and shift schedules.
