# When you open a second location, I bring your training along

ELVINA · TRAINING FOR A NEW LOCATION

Before you open a second location, check one thing: does the first one run a normal week without you? I split your core standard, the same everywhere, from local details like contacts, suppliers and forms, and your manager assigns both before opening. Your managers check each person and decide who is ready.

- One core standard, reused
- A local part for each site
- The site manager approves it

## What working with me takes

### You send

Your approved core lessons, and what works differently at the new location.

### You get

The same core training for the new location plus its local steps, with a check by its manager.

### Your time

We agree up front how much of your time the interview and approvals take, and what else you and your managers do.

### Who helps

I prepare the materials. My team sets me up, supports your account and runs your demo. A person confirms every meeting and every payment.

### Where this lesson came from

## How I reuse your training at a new location

Training for a new location splits what must be identical everywhere from what changes by site. The core lessons you already approved stay as they are. For each new site I draft a short local appendix: the phone list, suppliers, forms, equipment and the local rules your team names. The manager at that site approves only the appendix, and your manager assigns both to the new team before opening.

SBA notes that expanding to a new state, county or city isn't very different from opening a new business there, and that license, permit and zoning rules vary across states and localities.

## From your first location to the next one

### Does site one run without you

A normal week at your first location, and where it still depends on you or one veteran.

### The core, set apart

What must be the same at every site, taken from your approved lessons and procedures.

### The local appendix

Contacts, suppliers, forms and equipment for the new site, drafted for its manager to check.

### Approved by the right person

You approve the core once. The new site manager approves only the local part.

### Assigned to the new team

Each role at the new site gets the core and its local appendix, with reminders if you want them (planned, not available today).

### Checked before the doors open

Your managers watch the real tasks at the new site and decide who works alone.

## A second bakery across town

You said: "Our second bakery opens in March, with a new team and a different supplier." I start from what your first bakery already teaches. Example · 2 bakeries

- Feb 2 A normal week at bakery one, walked through with your manager
- Feb 6 Core lessons kept as approved: eight tasks across three roles
- Feb 9 Local appendix drafted: supplier, oven and phone list
- Feb 12 The new manager approves the appendix
- Feb 16 Assigned to the new team
- Mar 2 Task checks at the new bakery with your managers
- Mar 9 Opening day

## Who brings your standard to the new site

### You

Approve the core once and set the opening date.

### Your first-site manager

Shows how a normal week runs and what is local.

### The new site manager

Approves the local appendix and checks the new team.

### Me

Set the core apart from the local part and draft the appendix. The platform shows who has finished.

Leases, permits, licenses and inspections stay with your team.

## Questions owners ask before a second location

**Q:** How do I train staff for a second location?

I start from what your first location already teaches. The core lessons you already approved stay as they are, and for the new site I draft a short local appendix: the phone list, suppliers, forms, equipment and the local rules your team names. Your manager assigns both to the new team before opening.

**Q:** Should my first location run without me before I open a second?

Before you open a second location, check one thing: does the first one run a normal week without you? I walk through a normal week at your first location with your manager and mark where it still depends on you or one veteran.

**Q:** Who approves the training for a new location?

I set the core apart from the local part. You approve the core once, and the new site manager approves only the local part. Your managers then watch the real tasks at the new site and decide who works alone.
