# A learning platform for small teams: assign and track training

Give learning a clear home. A learning platform for small teams should make assigning training, tracking progress and seeing who is ready simple enough for a manager without an LMS administrator. On Elvina's Learning Platform, available now, a manager assigns approved lessons to people and groups and sees completion, for owners and managers who run training alongside their day job.

## Who this is for, and when

A team manager or an HR lead who needs to know who has completed what, on which version, and whether completion meant anything. It matters when a new-hire cohort starts or a compliance deadline approaches. A spreadsheet of checkmarks does not say whether the person can do the task.

## How it works in Elvina

The intended workspace connects assignments, lessons, practice, support and progress by content version. Managers distinguish completion from a real task check.

- Build a learning path from approved artifacts and set completion rules, such as a passed quiz or a manager check.
- Add learners and groups to the Learning Platform, with managers responsible for each group.
- Assign the path; learners see lessons, practice and job aids in one place, and progress is tracked by content version.
- Managers review progress and mark real task checks separately from lesson completion.

## A worked example

A fictional veterinary hospital group onboards twelve receptionists across four sites. The practice manager builds a path from three approved lessons and a scheduling job aid, assigns it to a group named Front Desk Spring Cohort, and sets a supervised phone triage as the final check.

- The Learning Platform shows twelve learners, their progress per lesson and the content version each completed.
- Each site manager marks the supervised triage as passed or not, separate from the completion percentage.
- The practice manager sees two receptionists complete but not yet checked, and schedules their triage sessions.

## What to check before relying on it

This product area is separate from the website's public Academy guides. No learner account or live assignment is created by the website examples.

- Every assignment shows which content version the learner completed.
- Completion and task verification are recorded as separate states.
- Each group has a named manager responsible for its learners.

## Where a person stays in charge

The Learning Platform is the product area for learners and managers and is separate from this website's public Academy pages. No learner account or live assignment is created by any example on this site. Completion is a record of finished lessons; whether a person can do the job is a judgment a manager records.

## Questions people ask

**Q:** Can learners ask questions while taking a lesson?

Not yet. Conversational answers are planned, not available today; today a learner opens the job aid linked to the lesson, and questions go to the group's manager.

**Q:** Does it work with our existing LMS?

Yes. Approved courses export as SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, xAPI or MP4 for any LMS that accepts these formats, and that LMS records completion from the package. Inside Elvina, the Learning Platform tracks completion and certification dates per person; detailed quiz answers and scores are not stored, and reminders before a certification expires are planned, not available today.

No launch date is committed for planned features.
