# I write safety training around supervised practice

ELVINA · SAFETY TRAINING ON THE FLOOR

Your safety rules sit in a binder, and the new hire learns the dock from whoever is nearby. I turn your procedure into the hazards, the stop conditions and a supervised practice session for each task. A qualified reviewer on your side approves it, and your safety lead decides who performs the task alone.

- From your own procedure
- Your qualified reviewer approves
- Supervised practice first

## What I write, and who signs it

I write from the procedure you already have: what can hurt someone, when to stop and who to call. I do not decide what a regulation requires, and I do not certify anyone to operate equipment. A qualified reviewer on your team approves every piece, and your safety lead watches the practice before anyone performs the task alone.

## Where safety training stays on paper

### “They signed the binder on day one.”

A signature shows they saw the page. Supervised practice shows they can do the task.

### “The stop rules are buried somewhere in the binder.”

Each task gets one card with its hazards and the moments to stop, posted where the work happens.

### “Our experienced people skip steps, and new hires copy them.”

Your safety lead runs the practice against the written steps, not against habit.

## From your written procedure to practice your safety lead watches

### One task, its hazards

We pick one task and list, from your procedure, what can go wrong and to whom.

### Stop conditions

The exact moments a person stops work and calls someone, in plain words.

### Reviewed by a qualified person

Your safety manager or outside adviser reviews the draft. Nothing reaches the floor before that.

### Supervised practice

The new person does the task with your safety lead beside them, on a quiet shift first.

### Alone, by decision

Your safety lead records the practice and decides when the person can perform the task unsupervised.

## Dock doors at a distribution center

You said: "New loaders open the dock door before the trailer is secured." I start with the dock door. Example · 1 distribution center, loading dock

- Mon Dock procedure read, hazards listed with your safety lead
- Tue A stop-condition card and a short lesson drafted
- Wed Your safety manager reviews and approves both
- Thu Cards posted at all eight doors, lesson assigned to new loaders
- Next week Supervised practice on the quiet shift. Your safety lead decides who works the dock alone

## Who does what

### You

Pick the task and name the qualified reviewer.

### Your qualified reviewer

Approves every hazard list, card and lesson before it is used.

### Your safety lead

Runs the supervised practice and decides who works alone.

### Me

Draft the cards and lessons from your procedure, assign them and keep the practice record.

I don't certify operators or decide what a regulation requires. That stays with your qualified reviewer.

## What working with me takes

### You send

Your procedure for one task, and the name of the person who reviews safety material.

### You get

A hazard list, a stop-condition card and a supervised practice plan for that task, once your reviewer approves them.

### Your time

We agree up front how much of your time the interview and approvals take, and what else you and your managers do.

### Who helps

I prepare the materials. My team sets me up, supports your account and runs your demo. A person confirms every meeting and every payment.

Example · stop-condition card, dock door

### Before you open a dock door
