ELVINA · SENIOR LIVING

I train your senior living staff on service and dining

Tell me which department hires most: dining, housekeeping, the concierge desk or activities. I turn your service standards and checklists into lessons and a card for each station. Your department head watches a real shift before anyone serves residents alone. Resident care, medication and transfers stay with your nursing director.

Dining, housekeeping, concierge and activities, from your standards. Resident care stays with your nursing team.

Before you start

What working with me takes

You send

Your dining standards, housekeeping checklist or front desk steps, or a recorded shift walk-through with a department head.

You get

Lessons and a station card for each service role, kept apart from care topics, and a watched shift before anyone works alone.

Your time

We agree up front how much of your time the interview and approvals take, and what else you and your managers do.

Who helps

I prepare the materials. My team sets me up, supports your account and runs your demo. A person confirms every meeting and every payment.

Example · tray card, assisted living dining
Delivering a tray to an apartmentDraft for your approval

One page for the dining cart · from your tray service standard

  1. Read the preference note on the ticket before you leave the kitchen
  2. Knock, announce yourself and wait for an answer
  3. Set the tray where the resident asks and name each dish
  4. Note on the ticket if the meal was refused

Stop and call the nurse on duty if the resident seems unwell or asks for help moving.

Roles I start with

The service side of a senior living community

I review this list with your executive director and begin with the department that hires every season.

Dining server

Reading the preference notes on each ticket, tray delivery and the pace residents like at the table.

Bistro and café

Your counter routine, the menu notes and how to pass a diet question to the dining director.

Housekeeper

Knock and announce, the apartment checklist and what to report when something looks wrong.

Concierge and front desk

Visitor sign-in on weekdays and weekends alike, calls from families and after-hours steps.

Activities assistant

Setting up an activity, inviting residents and noting who joined, from your activity guides.

Maintenance

Work orders, entering an apartment while a resident is home, and closing out a request.

How I take it on

Senior living staff training, department by department

  1. 1

    The department that hires next

Tell me the department, the building and when new staff start, often ahead of a new semester of student servers.

  2. 2

    Your standards, as written

Dining standards, housekeeping checklists and front desk steps, or a recording of a department head walking a shift.

  3. 3

    Service or care

Before I draft anything, we sort each topic into service or care. Care topics go to your nursing team and the training your state recognizes.

  4. 4

    A card for each station

Lessons and one page for the server station, the housekeeping cart or the front desk. The department head approves them.

  5. 5

    Who to call

Every lesson names who to call when a resident needs more than a service answer.

  6. 6

    A shift with residents

Your department head watches a real meal service or apartment cleaning and decides who handles it alone.

Example

Eight student servers before the fall

You said: "Every fall I hire students for the dining room, and they guess at the tickets." I start with ticket reading. Example · assisted living, dining room and bistro

  1. Aug 11Your dining director walks me through a dinner service
  2. Aug 13Ticket-reading lesson and a tray card drafted
  3. Aug 14Your dining director approves. A diet question routed to nursing
  4. Aug 18Assigned to eight new servers
  5. Aug 22Practice service with a senior server
  6. Aug 25First dinner watched: your dining director decides who serves alone

For a housekeeping team that reads Spanish

If your housekeepers read Spanish first, the cart card and its lesson come in Spanish too, built from the same checklist your supervisor approved. Resident names never appear in either version.

What stays with you

  • Resident care, medication, transfers and anything a license covers stay with your nursing team
  • Training your state requires stays with the programs it recognizes
  • Resident records and family details stay out of lessons
  • Who you hire, and who works with residents, is your decision
