ELVINA · ANSWERS PEOPLE CAN FIND
When the current rule lives in a shared drive, an old binder and someone's memory at once, people get different answers. I gather the questions your team asks most, find the one approved answer for each with its owner, and put them in a job aid people keep at hand. Where no approved answer exists, it says who to ask.
One approved answer per question, with its owner, in a job aid people keep at hand. No answer yet means a named person to ask.

I'm Elvina. Where do people look for answers now: a drive, a binder or a person?

Where your rules live now, and a rough list of the questions your managers get.
An answer set by role, each answer with its source, owner and date, plus a short lesson on where to look.
We agree up front how much of your time the interview and approvals take, and what else you and your managers do.
I prepare the materials. My team sets me up, supports your account and runs your demo. A person confirms every meeting and every payment.
| Question | Answer | Owner |
|---|---|---|
| Late checkout? | Until 1 pm at no charge, later only with a manager | General manager |
| Pets? | Dogs under 40 lb, ground floor rooms | General manager |
| Lost key card? | Check ID, then issue a new card | Front desk lead |
| Group rate? | No approved answer: ask the sales manager | Sales manager |
Your company's know-how is easy to reach when a person on shift can get the current, approved answer to a common question in a moment and can tell it is current. That takes fewer documents, not more: one answer per question, a named owner for each, the date it was last checked and a contact when nothing fits. I build that answer set from your sources and the questions people really ask, retire old versions with your approval and teach each role where to look.
Your managers jot down what staff ask them for a week or two. I group the repeats.
For every question I find the source, and where two documents disagree I ask the owner which one is current.
Each answer shows who owns it and when it was last checked. Old versions are retired once you agree.
A job aid by role, on a phone or a printed page, in the language people read.
A short lesson shows each role how to find an answer and how to flag one that is missing or wrong.
When a source changes, the answers built on it go back to their owner for approval.
You said: "Ask about late checkout and you get a different answer on each shift." I start with the questions guests bring to the desk. Example · 2 hotels, front desk

Each keeps their answers correct and approves any change.
Log the questions they get and point people to the aid first.
Gather the questions, build the answer set, retire old versions with your approval and keep it current.
Anything with legal or financial consequences still goes to the person who owns it.
