IN SHORT

Find where learners need support

Learning progress analysis is sorting the people assigned a course into groups that point to different kinds of help: never started, in progress, stuck at the assessment, and done. It is for workforce and team managers whose only number is one completion figure. Progress by person, counted in completions, is available now, and Elvina adds counts with their base, plain definitions and a note on missing data. Quiz answers and scores are not stored. Login problems are separated from inactivity before anyone talks about motivation, and the manager decides what help each group gets.

Example scenario with sample data.

  1. Book 30 minutes. Pick a time with Elvina's team. The demo is free and runs on Zoom.
  2. Show the team your goal. Bring one role or one procedure. The team shows how Elvina would handle it, using sample materials.
  3. Agree on the next step. You leave with a plan for the first step and its price. Nothing reaches your team until you approve it.

Who this is for, and when

A workforce manager at a 300-seat customer-support center needs to know who is stuck on the new billing-dispute course before the quality team escalates. The dashboard shows one completion figure and nothing else. She wants to separate agents who never opened the course from those who reached the assessment and stalled, and to rule out login problems before anyone gets a talking-to.

How it works in Elvina

A review separates people who never started from those who reached the assessment but need help.

  • She sets the time window and confirms the definitions: started means a lesson was opened, completed means the completion rule was met, overdue means past the target date the manager set for the group.
  • Elvina pulls assignment data from the Learning Platform and groups learners into never started, in progress, stalled at assessment, and complete.
  • For the never-started group, Elvina checks for access errors and flags accounts that were invited but never logged in.
  • She reviews the breakdown in the Web workspace with denominators and missing-data notes, and decides which group gets which kind of help.
03

A worked example

A fictional contact center, Northwind Support Services, assigned 'Billing Dispute Handling' to 284 agents and asked for it to be finished within two weeks. Team leads see only a completion percentage. The workforce manager runs the analysis on day ten with the assessment as the last step.

  • A breakdown: 171 complete, 52 in progress, 38 stalled at the assessment, 23 never started.
  • Of the 23, 14 had a login failure logged in the past week; nine had no activity at all.
  • The manager routed the 38 to a coaching session, sent the 14 to IT, and asked team leads about the nine.
04

What to check before relying on it

Look for access problems before attributing inactivity to motivation. Include denominators and missing-data notes.

  • Every group is reported with a count and the denominator it is drawn from.
  • Definitions of started, completed and overdue are stated on the report.
  • Access failures are separated from inactivity before any conclusion about motivation.
  • Learners with missing data are listed, not silently dropped.
05

Where a person stays in charge

Progress data describes activity on the Learning Platform; it does not explain why a person is behind. Elvina will not label anyone as unmotivated, and she does not send reminders; automatic reminders are planned, not available today. Completion is reported on its own, apart from anything observed on live calls, and detailed quiz answers and scores are not stored. Data outside Elvina is not included unless it was imported as a source.

WHO IT IS NOT FOR

Who this is not for, and when another tool fits

This is not the right fit if

  • You want the data to explain why a person is behind or to label them unmotivated.
  • Most of the training happens outside the platform and is never recorded.
  • You need a performance review rather than a course report.

Another kind of tool may fit better

  • Your HR or workforce system, for attendance, hours and performance records.
  • A conversation with the team lead, when the numbers show a stall but not its cause.
