IN SHORT

A Trainual alternative, in short

Choosing a Trainual alternative starts with a question about labor: who will write and maintain the training. Trainual gives your team one system to document processes, roles and performance, with AI that writes and edits content, and your own people keep it current. Elvina takes the training work itself: role lessons, checks and job aids drafted from the documents you already have, with completion per person, available now.

Trainual is a broad system for documenting how a company runs and managing performance, with AI that writes and edits content. Elvina is an AI employee with one job: getting people ready and keeping their work up to your standard while you approve what she produces.

What happens on the free demo

  1. Book 30 minutes. Pick a time with Elvina's team. The demo is free and runs on Zoom.
  2. Show the team your goal. Bring one role or one procedure. The team shows how Elvina would handle it, using sample materials.
  3. Agree on the next step. You leave with a plan for the first step and its price. Nothing reaches your team until you approve it.

The short version

Choose Trainual if you want one system for processes, goals, meetings and KPIs, and your team is ready to build and maintain it. Choose Elvina if onboarding and repeated questions keep landing on your managers and you want someone else to build the lessons and job aids for them. You can also keep a documentation tool for the playbook and use Elvina for turning it into trained people.

What Trainual is built for

Trainual describes itself as training, operations and performance software. Its homepage lists AI content creation, an AI assistant, role-based training paths and completion tracking, alongside meetings, goals, KPI scoring and org charts. It also describes a performance suite with review cycles: its product updates page announced Performance as live on September 29, 2026, while its homepage still marks several review features as coming soon. It is designed as a central place where a company's processes and people management live together.

  • Documenting processes and policies in one place
  • Role-based training paths with completion tracking
  • Goals, meetings and KPIs in the same system
03

Where Elvina is different

Your team doesn't have to write the content, though it can still edit lessons in the builder. You give Elvina your existing documents in Company Knowledge and name who approves each one. She drafts role lessons and job aids in Creation Studio, your manager assigns them on the Learning Platform, and it records who has completed each lesson and check; answering staff in Chat from the same sources is planned, not available today. When a procedure changes, the lessons can be redrafted from the updated source for your approval.

  • The work of building and assigning training is done for you
  • Each lesson ends with a check, and completion is recorded per person
  • Job aids for the shift come from the approved source, with the section cited
04

When Trainual is the better choice

Trainual fits better when you want meetings, goals, KPIs and responsibilities managed in the same system as your training, or when you have someone whose job is to write and maintain the company playbook. Elvina does not manage meetings, goals or performance reviews, and she is not built to be an org chart.

  • You want meetings, goals and KPIs next to training
  • You need responsibilities mapped to roles in an org chart
  • Someone on your team owns the playbook as a job
05

Moving over or running both

If your processes already live in another tool, bring them over as documents and add them to Company Knowledge. Elvina works from the approved copy, so the original can stay where it is. If you keep another system for goals and meetings, you can use Elvina only for onboarding, role training and job aids.
