IN SHORT

A consent-based training voice, in short

A consent-based training voice is a synthetic copy of one real person’s voice, such as a general manager’s, used to narrate onboarding lessons only for the uses covered by that person’s signed consent. It is meant for heads of training at hotel groups, clinics and other mid-size teams whose leaders’ voices carry weight with new hires. Your legal reviewer checks the consent, and Elvina auditions a labeled test clip before anything else. A cloned voice of your own is available now, used only with the speaker’s documented consent. Revoking it is a step your team owns.

Who this is for, and when

A head of training at a boutique hotel group knows the general manager's voice carries weight with new hires. She wants to audition a synthetic version for onboarding narration, but the general counsel insists on documented consent, a defined scope of use and a way to revoke it before a single line is generated.

How it works in Elvina

A short test script can be auditioned in a permitted voice before any training distribution.

  • Upload the signed consent record and the permitted recordings in Creation Studio, and list intended uses and a pronunciation glossary.
  • Elvina produces an audition using a short test script, labeled as synthetic, with no distribution.
  • Review pronunciation and tone, update the glossary, and note the revocation terms on the voice record.
  • Only after legal and the speaker approve can the voice be used in a lesson, and only within the stated scope.
03

A worked example

A fictional group, Harbor Lantern Hotels, obtains a dated consent letter from its general manager and three two-minute recordings. The head of training auditions a short welcome script and supplies a glossary of twelve property names that are commonly mispronounced.

  • The audition rendered cleanly, but two property names were wrong, so the glossary was updated and the clip regenerated.
  • Legal narrowed the permitted use to internal onboarding only, and that scope was recorded with the voice.
  • The consent letter and revocation terms are stored beside the voice record.
04

What to check before relying on it

No impersonation or implied endorsement. Review consent scope, pronunciation and revocation requirements before generating or sharing audio.

  • The consent scope matches every intended use.
  • A revocation date or trigger is recorded.
  • Generated audio is labeled as synthetic.
  • Glossary terms are pronounced correctly in the audition.
  • No script implies the speaker personally endorses a claim.
05

Where a person stays in charge

This is not a tool for impersonation, public marketing or any use outside written consent. Elvina does not judge whether consent is valid; your legal team does. Revocation is a process you own, and a person approves every use. Confirm storage and deletion rules for voice data with your account team.

WHO IT IS NOT FOR

Who this is not for, and when another tool fits

This is not the right fit if

  • The speaker has not signed consent that names training use.
  • You want the voice for ads, public posts or anything outside internal training.
  • You hope to keep using a former employee’s voice after their consent ended.

Another kind of tool may fit better

  • A licensed presenter voice from the standard list, when no one has agreed to be cloned.
  • Your legal counsel, to write the consent, its scope and how it is revoked.
  • A studio session with the speaker, when only a few lines are needed.
