Bring a presentation into learning content
Importing a PowerPoint deck converts each slide of a PPTX file, with its speaker notes and embedded media, into an editable draft in Creation Studio. Sales enablement managers, trainers and owners use it when a marketing or product deck already holds what new staff must learn. The import report names substituted fonts, dropped animations and charts to check. PowerPoint import and slide editing are available now. A converted deck is raw material: someone still decides which slides become a lesson and approves it.

Who this is for, and when
A sales enablement manager at an industrial adhesives maker has a fifty-eight-slide product deck built by marketing, with custom fonts, embedded charts and dense speaker notes. She wants it inside Elvina as an editable draft, and she wants to know exactly what did not survive the import before anyone calls it a course.
How it works in Elvina
The import produces an editable draft whose slide sequence can be compared with the source deck.
- In Creation Studio, choose Import and upload the PPTX with its embedded media.
- Elvina converts each slide into an editable draft and reports missing fonts, dropped animations and chart handling.
- Compare the draft against the source deck slide by slide, then fix substitutions.
- Decide what becomes a lesson; the import itself is not published anywhere.
A worked example
A fictional manufacturer, Bondwright Adhesives, imports Product Line Overview 2026, a fifty-eight-slide deck with six charts, two custom fonts and speaker notes on most slides. The enablement manager reviews the import report before editing.
- All fifty-eight slides arrived as editable drafts with speaker notes attached.
- Two custom fonts were substituted and listed in the report so the brand team could decide.
- Three build animations were dropped and named, and six charts were checked for legibility.
What to check before relying on it
Check charts, animation, speaker notes and missing fonts. An imported deck is not automatically a complete course.
- Slide count matches the source.
- Every font substitution is listed.
- Charts remain legible at full size.
- Speaker notes are present on the slides that had them.
- Embedded media plays or is flagged.
Where a person stays in charge
An imported deck is a draft, not a course. Elvina does not redesign slides, fix cramped layouts or write learning objectives during import. Animations may not carry over. A person decides what to keep and approves before the Learning Platform sees it. Confirm you have rights to the deck and its images.
Who this is not for, and when another tool fits
This is not the right fit if
- The deck is a sales pitch with nothing staff need to apply.
- You expect the import to redesign cramped slides or write objectives.
- You do not hold rights to the deck or its images.
Another kind of tool may fit better
- A presentation designer, to rebuild a cluttered deck before it becomes training.
- Presenting the deck live, when the session depends on discussion rather than content.
