IN SHORT

Regenerating one slide, in short

Regenerating a slide rebuilds one overloaded frame around its learning objective, for instance a slide that packs six bullets, a footnote and a screenshot together, while the source note stays in place. Compliance analysts and trainers use it when reviewers say nobody can tell what a slide asks them to do. Elvina proposes a cleaner version plus a comparison of what was removed, added and kept word for word, so a dropped condition can be put back. Regenerating and editing slides by hand are available now, with approval by the content owner.

Who this is for, and when

A compliance analyst at a credit union is reviewing the Bank Secrecy Act refresher before its annual release. Slide 12 crams six bullet points, a footnote and a screenshot into one frame. Reviewers wrote that no one can tell what the slide wants them to do. She needs it simplified while keeping the regulatory citation and the two exceptions.

02

How it works in Elvina

A crowded slide becomes one decision and two supporting examples, with the source note preserved.

  • The analyst opens the deck in Creation Studio, selects slide 12 and attaches the learning objective plus the three reviewer comments.
  • Elvina proposes a revised slide built around one decision, two supporting examples and the source note from Company Knowledge.
  • She reads the claim comparison that lists what was removed, what was added and what was kept verbatim.
  • She restores the exception about structured deposits that the proposal had dropped, then approves the slide.
03

A worked example

A fictional institution, Copper Valley Credit Union, runs a 22-slide BSA refresher for 140 branch employees. Slide 12 covers when to file a currency transaction report. The source is Policy-BSA-2026-Rev2, owned by the compliance officer.

  • The new slide states the filing threshold as a single decision, followed by a cash deposit example and a cash withdrawal example.
  • The footnote citing the policy section and revision number stayed on the slide.
  • Reviewers closed all three comments, and the analyst noted the restored exception in the deck revision log.
04

What to check before relying on it

Compare omitted and added claims. A cleaner composition must not erase qualifications or source attribution.

  • The learning objective is still answered by the revised slide alone.
  • Every qualification and exception from the original slide is either present or explicitly listed as removed with a reason.
  • The source note names the same policy document and revision as before.
  • Speaker notes and narration still match the visible content.
05

Where a person stays in charge

Elvina restructures a slide; it does not know which regulatory nuance matters most to your examiners. A tidier layout can silently drop a condition, so the claim comparison is there to be read, not skipped. The compliance owner approves the final slide, and any change to the cited policy must come from Company Knowledge, not from the slide editor.

WHO IT IS NOT FOR

Who this is not for, and when another tool fits

This is not the right fit if

  • You need a set of related corrections across the whole deck at once.
  • You expect Elvina to know which regulatory nuance matters most to your examiners.
  • The policy behind the slide has changed and the source itself must be updated first.

Another kind of tool may fit better

  • Your current authoring tool, if one designer already builds every course by hand and the team is happy with it.
  • A shared drive, when people only need to find a file rather than learn a task.
