Salon front desk training on your own booking and check-in rules
I turn your desk manual and policies into a course and checklists for every new front desk and reception hire. You approve each lesson first.
What a new front desk hire starts with
A course built from your desk rules
Lessons, scripts and checks for the desk moments below.
A booking and cancellation checklist
Plus opening and closing checklists.
A first-week plan and a readiness check
Your manager decides when a new hire runs the desk alone.
Your manager’s view of the desk
Each person’s progress by role, location and shift.
Example screens from the front desk course, with sample content.
I don’t connect to Fresha, Vagaro or Boulevard. The booking lesson comes from your own steps and screenshots of your system, with client details removed.
Desk moments the course covers
BLS and O*NET list appointments, check-in and payment among a receptionist’s typical tasks. Your rules decide how your desk handles each one.
Booking and moving visits
Calls and messages, confirmations, the waitlist and cancellations.
Late arrivals, no-shows and deposits
Grace periods, fees and deposits, as your policy states them.
Check-in and checkout
Client questionnaires, payments, gift cards and the register.
Rebooking before the guest leaves
Welcoming the client back from their service and offering to book their next visit.
Retail and add-ons, within your rules
Only what your rules allow, without pressure, and accepting a no.
One of your policies, as a front desk job aid
- Offer the waitlist: From your rule
- Offer the next two open times: From your rule
- A member moves once without a fee: From your rule
- None of the times work for the guest?: Needs your decision
Approves: your front desk manager
Hiring for the front desk? I prepare the job post draft, skills-check questions and an interview guide. Calls to applicants and screening are planned, not available today.
Two ways to start
A demo with my team
30 minutes on Zoom: your roles, your locations and a plan for the first role. Price and timeline come after.
With one location, starting on your own may be simpler. The call is still open to you.
On your own
- Free: One sample from your own rule, before you pay anything.
- $30 once: 12,000 credits. I estimate each task; you approve the cost.
- $100 a month: Team: the platform for your staff, plus 40,000 credits a month.
Front desk questions
How long should salon front desk onboarding take?
For receptionists in any business, BLS says most get short-term on-the-job training, usually lasting a few days up to a month. Your manager decides after the readiness check.
Who sets our deposit, late arrival and no-show rules?
You do. I don’t write your deposit, cancellation or redo policy. A case your rules miss stays marked as your decision.
